maxresdefaultChristian maturity does not depend on how long you have been in the faith.

It does not depend on how much of the bible you have been to memorise.

It does not depend on how many hours you pray.

  1. Walk in Love

Living and walking in Love is the hallmark of Christian maturity,

Gal 5:16-24

16 But I say, Walk by the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are contrary the one to the other; that ye may not do the things that ye would. 18 But if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousies, wraths, factions, divisions, [e]parties,21 envyings, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of which I[f]forewarn you, even as I did [g]forewarn you, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23 meekness, self-control; against such there is no law. 24 And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.

  1. Get the knowledge of the word

Hosea 4:6

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Most people have religious traditions and not what has been bought and paid for you on Calvary’s cross.

If you are humble and teachable you can be taught the word of God.

God is not the author of evil, He is not the one giving you sickness or disease, that’s what religion is telling you. Ex 15:26 I am the LORD that healeth thee.

God is your deliverer

Ps 18:2

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Persecution is the Christian suffering

If you are not suffering persecution you are not a threat to the devil.

No devil in hell can stop you

  1. Act on the word of God

Hear the word and do the word; You make the necessary adjustment and do the word. People hear the word and don’t receive it for themselves

Doers of the word are blessed

James 1:22

  1. Opposing the truth

This is mainly due to religious traditions. Nehman the Syrian dip 7 times.

They don’t respect the word of God or people in the ministry.

  1. People living in sin

People get told just pay your offering and God will bless you. God will not bless unrighteousness or wickedness. You can live in sin and just call the pastor to pray for you and send your offering.

But what about Grace, Gods grace does not give you permission to sin.

If you are not walking according to God’s word, how can you pray in boldness?

Gal 6:7-8

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth unto his own flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth unto the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap eternal life.

The devil will lead you to compromise to lead you into sin

If he cannot get you to commit physical sin he will get into your heart and get you into bitterness, malice and unforgiveness Eph 4:25-32

25 Wherefore, putting away falsehood, [h]speak ye truth each one with his neighbor: for we are members one of another. 26 [i]Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your [j]wrath: 27 neither give place to the devil. 28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have whereof to give to him that hath need. 29 Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for [k]edifying as the need may be, that it may give grace to them that hear. 30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in whom ye were sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and railing, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, even as God also in Christ forgave[l]you.
